Yuck, I smell like methanol. So on tuesday my O Chem lab partner told me that she was sick, and she went in to the doctor and they said she had viral bronchitis, lanrengitis, and whooping cough. I started coughing friday night. I went in to Boynton today, and they said well, it could be bronchitis or whooping cough, so we'll treat you either way, and if it helps it could have been whooping cough, if not it could have been whooping cough or bronchitis. Yeah, Laurie and I have decided our family is on top of strange diseases. West Nile, Whooping Cough, Ulcerative Colitis, and spontaneous galbladder degeneration. Woot, go us!

Other news...Chris is coming down wednesday, that's exciting. I have an Ochem test Friday, and a Micro test Tuesday, that is not exciting. Bad timing, but We're going to try to get together with Molly and Nate nonetheless, and maybe go bowling? Or maybe another game night? We shall see.

I accepted a job as a couselor for this summer again. I'm way excited, I've missed nature and kids a lot this year, not to mention the weather. Alright, I need to get my butt doing something before Psych. Aurevior!

Today has been an interesting, but good day all around. It reached 45 degrees today! Farenheit not celcius unfortunately. It was fan fricken' tabulous. In other news, I had one of the wierdest dreams ever while I was napping. Michael J. Fox was hitting on me. My family almost missed our flight back from Hawaii only to have the plane crash. After the plane crash I regained consciousness in the car we had rented to drive back to Minnesota, and I couldn't find my shirt. We were supposed to go into a restaurant to eat, so I went back to the car to get my shirt, and it started moving, so I had to get in, and had a really hard time finding a parking spot, since I couldn't get the car to stop. It was insanity.

In reality, I ran into my Future Physician prof from last fall. It was good to see her again, she's as perky and adorable as ever, and invited me to stop by her office if I ever wanted to. I got out of Chem lab early, and Psych, and the test in psych was super easy. There's one A I can count on. And good thing too. Hopefully I'll be a nicer person tonight, yesterday I was a little short with everyone. Chris said he was a little scared of me, and he'd never heard me speak that way before. Oops.

Anyway, I have lab reports that need to be written, and O Chem that needs to be learned. Audios!

It's saturday again, and fairly less enjoyable than last Saturday, but that's to be expected. So Valentine's Day was this week. Chris and I did not celebreate, at least I don't think we did. We said we weren't getting presents, and then he told me he was working on mine, and wouldn't be ready for V-day. that confused me, since we had stated explicetly we werent doing rpesents, but he told me, welll it's not really a present. Supposedly this is not like the time we didn't wrap the Christmas presents, so I guess we'll see.

Last night I actually went out and did something, can you believe that? And, get the craziest part, I'm going out again tonight! Woah, what is happening to the world? My lab partner from O Chem, Molly, and I have become good friends this semester, so I went over to her, and her boyfriend, Nate's apartment for a game night. It was pretty fun. We played scene it, an incredibly competative round of taboo (Which was highly entertaining since Nate and I were the only sober competitors). And so you know, we played boys vs girls, and the grils kicked butt. though we did have one more person, it was three couples and I, so the guys had to work out a strange rotation system to work it out. Hopefully someday soon Chris will be in town, and we can even it out.

Ok, I'll finish with my fun nerdy story for the week. I was freaking out about life a little bit Thursday night, and as I was ranting to Laurie on the phone; I pulled out my O Chem notebook to work on my report. During lab the day before I had spilled a tiny bit of 96% surlfuric acid in it, which actually did eat through the paper, it was pretty sweet. So, somehow in the process of the report I touched the acid, and then managed to get it in my eye. So I had to go flush my eye with saline for a while, and then I gave up on life for a while and went to bed. But not to worry, I neutralized my notebook with baking soda when I got up. I think it actually worked too.

Alright, time for get this, more O Chem. Woot!

Oh, a great mom story today. so Laurie is planning a mission trip to El Salvador over spring break, and today she was talking to my mom about it. Apparently my mom does not want her to go, because......she wants to have grandchildren, and doesn't want Laurie to die so she can have grandchildren. and Laurie countered that it would be legitimate to be worried about Laurie's survival, but not that of her offspring, and besides she said "Amanda will probably get married first any way, you can count on her to have grandchildren." Lol. then we came up with a plan, because I'm still not sure with all the meds I'm on and sad genes I have if I'm going to want to have my own children or not. So we decided that I should tell her that I'm pregnant, and then adopt kids from Africa or Aisa, and show up with them saying I don't really know what happened, there must be something in the Minneapolis water. So there's the plan. I was telling Jenny this, and I told her really I bet my mom won't care as long as she has some sort of grandkids, and Jenny laughed at me and said I made it sound like they have brands.

Anyway, the O Chem test seemed ot go well this morning. Psych quiz tonight, and Micro test tomorrow, niether of which I've really studied for. In the words of Laurie, Balls. Oh, and spelling counts. Double balls. Oh well, after the test tomorrow I'm off to Moorhead, so I can't be too upset.

Have you ever had a "discussion" with someone who wasn't listening to what you had to say? Or, some one who interrupts you mid thought to go on a rant of their own. That really irritates me. Today I was discussing stuff like same sex marriage and the electoral college, you know all the stuff you're not supposed to talk tabout in polite conversation. I definitly understand why. I was mid sentence and this person interrupted me and talked for about 3 mins on their own tangent. And the conversation was pretty much over from there. Apparently I don't respond well to being interrupted mid sentence. It probably is partly because I almost never got through an entire sentence in group conversation in high school. Sorry, I had to have a quick rant, release is good.

In other news tomorrow morning it's supposed to be -13°F, feels like -28°F. Boo, I'm done with winter, and I'd really like some windows that latch. It's so freakin' cold in my room, you should see the ice around the bottom. Alright, I have to actually do some homework now.

A happy warm monday to all, and don't smile outside, your lips will freeze, it's not pleasant.

I would jsut like to say, Balls it's cold! I haven't been warm in weeks. In other news, I have a killer week coming up, Micro test, OChem test, and Psych quiz. However, thursday night will be a good time I get to ride the bus for four hours again. It's totally worth it.

In other other news, I now officially have a mentor. Her name is Jerrie, and she's this totally adorable 60 yr old lady working with Lutheran Campus ministyr, interfaith ministry, and the GLTBA. Go figure right? Exactly what I asked for. Alright, Back to O Chem, I have 3 secotions and I'm done with that for the night.
