So Yesterday I recieved the sadest letter from one of my campers. She was kind of difficult at camp, she'd have tantrums, or strange outbursts and you could never really tell what was going to set one off. But she sent me a letter in August that I didn't get until almost october, and I hadn't written her back yet, when yesterday I got one that she sent in October, and she told me that her parents had gotten a divorce, and that her best friend didn't want to be her friend any more. So I wrote her back last night, and didn't do any O Chem.

I also did a really good job of procrastinating by working on promoting our health advocate even tonight for 2 hours, and I talked to Chris for an hour, and talked on AIM with Maren and Peter. All good things to accomplish, but I didn't finsh my paper, I ended up with 3 pages, and then found out we didn't need to peer review today anyway. This O Chem test is for sure going to be the one I drop, I still have a chapter and a half to cover before the test friday, and I have no time tonight to do so, because at 7 I have an informational meeting for prospective CA's, and then at 8 is the Sex-ed video festival we health advocates are putting on, so it's a full night.

I've been seriously thinking about being a CA now, I know it's a pretty big time commitment, but if I'm not doing anything else next year, it could be worth it. I do need to find out though, how weekends work, because with a long distance relationship having no weekends off could really suck. I also need to find out when I need to be here for training end of the summer, and see if it would conflict with camp.

Oh thanksgiving. I have yet to start any homework today. We left at 3:30 this morning, and arrived around 8:30. A few wrong turns, but what can you expect. I slept until 1:30 though, which I did not plan on, but I think it was a good thing, becasue I was pretty wiped out. It was a good break, strange as it was.

Thanksgiving day was just my immediate family, sans Laurie of course who was in San Diego having a gourmet meal. Ben and I were assigned to go get the Christmas tree immediatly after lunch was over. That provided minimal difficulty, we had it set up and decorated by late afternoon. The outside Chirstmas lights were already up, the only thing left to go up when I left this morning were the lights on the garland on the railing. My mother has an abundance of Christmas spirit this year.

Friday morning I went to Grand Forks and did some shopping, I didn't even make it to Crhistmas shopping yet, but i did buy a coat that doesn't have holes all over the lining, and I found 2, 100% cashmere sweaters for $35, so that was super exciting. I also got socks that don't have holes in them, and laundry detergent! It was a good trip, even though it was mass chaos. At first it was kind of refreshing how many people were present, because it was starting to freak me out how few people were around, but then I remembered that these people are used to having no one around, and don't know how to drive or walk in traffic. Oh small town Minnesota.

Friday night Chris came and had supper with the family, he brought my parents wine, how cute is that. Then we went to see the movie The fountain in Grand Forks, and both of us still don't get it. He stayed the night, and the next day we went to Stephen to visit some of his relatives. I met most of his grandparents, his grandpa is 90, and still living on his own, it amazes me, for 90 he's doing really well. His other grandparents are younger, and make really good apple pie. Before I had to get home we started waltching Lake Placid, which is a ridiculous movie, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be scary, but it's pretty hilarious.

Alright, I'm done with lunch, time for some homework

Alright, time for a new post, the last one was horribly depressing. So Wednesday was a little stressful after I got the news about Courtney I wen to class, andin History of Medicine discussion found out that my whole paper needed to be re-written by this coming wednesday, so as I left that class i was almost intears because the night I was also supposed to meet Chris' parents, and I didn't even know their names. So I went home and went to bed, because I didn't know what else to do with myself.

I had called Chris earlier in the day to ask him what his parents names were, before he got in the car with them, because then we were kind of past the point of salvation, but was super busy trying to finish his paper. When we got to Applebee's he leans over to me, and wispers them in my ear, and I had to laugh. So I just replaced all of my e's with r's in that previous sentence. Some wierd form of Dyslexia?

Yesterday we went to the Science museum to see Body Worlds (first time for Chris & family, 2nd time for me) and it was fun, but by the time we got done you could tell that everyone was exhausted. But, after a little ado they got me back to campus with the perfect amount of time before Bio colloquim, the last one I might add!
Oh family fun, but don't worry there's plenty to come next week with Thanksgiving, and Chris meeting my family sans Laurie. Joy.

Now to learn some calculus, re-write my paper, and watch a movie with the Alex.

So I just recieved an e-mail from my mom telling me that they had to put my cat Courtney to sleep yesterday. I knew this was coming at some point, I've had her since I was five, but I was just not expecting it at 8:30 this morning, and not by e-mail either. Sad day.

So, it's going to be 70 degrees today! I woke up and the sun was out, an no one as wearing jackets, I didn't even wear a coat. And while I was walking to my calc lecture the whole whashington Ave. bridge smelled like toast, it was pretty sweet, and I didn't even need my mittens. Unfortunately as I was walking to my History of Medicine lecture they were putting up the snow fences on the mall, just to make sure we know the weather is teasing us I think.

It was so hard to stay awake in History of Medicine today, first of all, it's a 10 o'clock class, so I'm not ready to be awake yet, and I've just come from my most thrilling lecture, calculus. Plus the room is so warm all the time, and not so much that it's uncomfortably hot, but just cozily warm, so I sit down and I'm good for 10-20 mins, but then my blood pressure starts coming back down, and I'm gone. And today he showed us slides for a good 10 mins, and turned out the lights, I saw manybe the first 3. Oh well, what are you going to do?

Oh life. So this past weekend, I was in Moorhead. It was a semi-impromptu thing, Chris told me on Monday or Tuesday that Clapp would be going both of the ways I would need to catcha ride up there, and I figured why not, if the opportunity presents itself. So at about 11:30-12ish we left from Minneapolis, and arrived at about 3:30 friday night/saturday morning. So we tried to go to sleep right away when I got there, but fianlly at about 4:30, Chris asks me if i'm asleep and I said no, I'mnot even tired. So we decided maybe watching a movie would help, so we watched cruel intentions, and he fell asleep, and finally I fell asleep around 6:30. It was pretty ridiculous.

Saturdya we didn't do all that much, we watched TV, which was nice, because I almost never do that, and we saw this lady Charla on the ShopNBC chanel, which is where Leah works, she was terrifying. We decided to go out to eat, and after about a half hour of ado, we deicded on Olive Garden, but when we got there it was a 25 mins wait, so we were like hmm, maybe not. And went to Paradiso instead. As we're walking in the door, I seeMarklar and not going to lie, I was fairly surprised, and he says "Are you serious?" and Chris coming inbehind me is rightfully really confused, because why would I know the host at Paradiso in Fargo right. It was a good time. Eventually we ended up renting Everthing is Illuminated, which I really liked, and it made me want to go back to Ukraine.

Sunday Chris had to teach Sunday School, so I had breakfast with Maren, and we took a trip to walmart, where I go the sweetest new watch. It has geckos on it. and a green and yellow gecko chase each other around the face as the second had, plus it has a light. I know, you're jealous.

I got my history of Medicine test back today from 3 weeks ago, and I got an A! it think that's the second A I've gotten on a test since high school. Yey.
