Another Day another dollar. Tonight i worked again, closed again, vaccummed, again. Overall it was a pretty good night, I didn't spill any thing on any customers, no employees yelled at me. I was out before midnight, got my pudding. But I had the scariest customer I've ever had.

She was this biker lady, and I think she honestly wanted to kill me. She seemed sweet when she ordered, but then Shawna brought out their bread, and they accosted me, because it wasn't sour dough, they got the only bread we have. Then the Beer Cheese soup ran out (it usually does) and she was very shaken up about that, so I asked the cooks, and they were getting some more ready to bring out. so I let them be, because they were busy. So every time I went out there, she glared at me,a nd I was taking some of the plates out of the way, and she seriously glared at me for about 2 mins while I was offering desert or chekcs. Then when I was totalling their chesk she came back into the waitress area and asked if their was going to be more soup, and I said yes, the cooks were working on it, and she goes psssh, and went back to the table. And I got a 82 cent tip from that couple. But there was nothing I could do for her.

In other news, I made up a new word today, I asked a customer if he had seem our spedule (combination of schedule and special I believe.) He probably thought I was stupid, but what can you do? And i was pretty bummed, because Larry didn't come in tonight, so I had to vaccumm, I as excited, because I have to vaccumm tomorrow, so I was excited not to do it tonight, but hey, that's life. And I'm off to bed, because I am power point woman tomorrow at church. Buenos Noches!

It's that time of year again, time for the school nightmares to commence. Strangely enough, my first one came the night before the first back to school flier. Intriguing, no? The wierdest part was that I was dreaming about high school, and I go to college. I drempt that I had transfered high schools at the very end of my senior year, I had probably a month left. So I got there and they didn't even give me a schedule for my classes, I got an outline of what most students take. I went to the first class on the list and after that one didn't know where else to go. Somehow I made it until lunch, and I didn't know anyone, so I ended up sitting with these little boys. The lunch was wierd too, there was only one choice, gigantic hamburgers with gross greasy fries. So I ended up not eating my lunch, and then a representative from their student council came up to me and informed me that she had forgotten to welcome me, but she was the welcomer student, and I got this little bag for being new (I have no idea why, so don't ask). Then one of my classes I had to drive to, and I ended up somehow floating in a lake in my car. So you could say it was not a good dream first day for me.

What has happened since I last blogged, well I went to my class at Itasca, and it was pretty good. I learned about the spacial distribution of ferns, the fitness of milkweed, and the vital statistics of an ecosystem(Lake Itasca). I met lots of new people, liked a majority of them. Met my roommate, who seems really cool, and has all the stuff I don't so it's going to work out very well I believe. I passed my "final exam" got a 76, but still it's passing, and I lost 14 points on studpid questions, they were just plain mean. The test was designed to scare us so that we study for tests in college, and it's a pass/fail class, so it doesn't really matter. Then I was headed home, and I had been driving in Itasca park for about 15 mins, and I didn't think it had taken that long to get in, but I kept driving, because I knew it hadn't been hard to get in. I ended up taking freaking Wilderness Drive which is a 15 mile long road where you can only go 20 mph and it's a one way. So I got stuck on that for about 1/2 an hour, and of course my cell phone didn't work in the park, and I wasn't even on the map. I was incredibly grumpy, and exhausted because I had gotten up at 5:30 that morning. I finally found an information station, and I went in and asked the lady how to get to my entrance and she said oh, you just go to the right, and I had already tried that, so I'm like fine, I'll do it myself. And did eventually find my way out. But I spend almost and extra hour in my car. I was not a happy camper.

I'm going to go get new glasses today. I've had the same frames since 7th grade, so it's definitly time for an upgrade. I probably should have known that the day I had to go home and take out my contacts and then scared Peter when he saw my glasses. Laurie is going to help me pick them out so we should do pretty well. And on that note, I'm out.

Hello Again, a popular movie during the late 80's-early 90's as well as an appropriate greeting. So, I have spend the past four nights at the Shanty waiting my butt off. I've closed twice and learned how to close between those two. This past week I've had a few tables and one backroom who hated me. The backroom even called to complain, though it would have been nice if I had been informed of the problems, I was informed of a few, but most of them were left. And some of them were my fault, but not all of them. Sigh. And last night I was closing, and had a table come in at 9:45, so I had to wait for them to finish their meal to close, I didn't leave until about 11:30, it was sad. Then I had a dream last night that people just kept coming in, and they wouldn't leave. Ack, too much Shanty for me, luckinly , tonight I get to serve rootbeer floats to loud, smelly, really good at joke telling farmers for four hours or so.

Tomorrow I leave for my first class. I am going to Itasca for The Nature of Life. An intoductory biology course manditory for all college of biological sciences students. And good news, I don't have to ride the bus for the campus, and so I am saved approximately 8 hours of driving, by driving myself. Huzzah. I'm a little nervous, because I haven't studied anything in about a month and a half, but I'm also excited because it has to be better than serving surf and turfs. But I'm nervous because I don't know anyone there. But I'm also excited because I got into the honors session. I'd say it's safe to say I have mixed feelings. But it'll be kind of like bible camp, because we're staying incabins, and we have to walk to our showers, and we're not supposed to bring expensive things etc, except minus the bible, and crazy cool games. But still it should be fun. wish me luck all.

As my dear sister Laurie once said, Will you tuck me in?

So last time I blogged I'd just gotten back from orientation, now a couple days later (wed to be exact) Mr. Paul from the Shanty calls, interviews me on the phone, and hires me. I started that night, and Betso taught me how to waitress, and then yesterday i was a Hostess, which is sinfully boring, but it's work, and today I get to waitress for real. How cool is that? Pretty cool if you ask me.

In other news, I had a really crazy dream last night, I was flying over this land on a Raven-Dog. Which is an animal that can fly, and looks like a cross between a raven and a dog, but talks like a dog (however dogs would talk if they could). Anyway, he was taking me somewhere very important, I think I was on a quest. So he let me off in a really bad spot, because apparently raven dogs aren't familiar with people, because he dropped me in lava and i burnt my fingers. The I was walking along the Aztec beach, and there was part that was giant crystals and geodes and things like that. Amythest, and Quarts and all those good minerals, and they were beautiful. But smart Al and I decided to walk in them, and kept getting washed into them by the waves. It was a pretty crazy dream.

In my other dream I was at camp, and we started playing a game, but we missed the rules, so my cabin didn't know what was going on, and I still don't know th objective of the game, but I scaled this hill by climbing up the grass, and then some little girl threw a ball at me, and that wasn't even part of the game, she just wanted to throw a ball at me. And then i saw some of the counselors and there was a service going on to the right and they were singing Canticle of the turning, and it sounded so pretty.

Any who, I'm off to waitress for real (I'm in the rotation and everything) my hair has 45 mins to dry before I have t put it up. God speed hair.
