I appologize for the absence of postage lately, but my computer has been ill. It's on the mend now, and least I hope it is.
So Thursday Mahinda and I went and were "good citizens" and cleaned for Adopt-a-Highway. It was an interesting study in Highway practices. I found 13 beer cans, 2 beer bottles, 1 bottle someone had used to relieve themselves in, and one bumper. Among countless other things. So What I learned from my commmunity service experience. People around this area are quite gross, Mountain Dew and Pepsi are the soft drinks of choice, and I will never drive on that part of the highway agian, because I will be hit by a drunk driver. Later that day, Mahinda , Rory and I went to the woods, and took pictures again. It was tons of fun. I re-discovered the spot we called "The Sandbar" when we were little. It's like a mini-beach on the river. What a fun place to hang out. I was dissapointed though, I tried to do a double exposure, and it didn't come close to working out. Sigh, I guess I'll save that for another day.
Friday Mahinda, Rory and I went to see the Forgotten, which I thought looked very good from the previews, 1984 esque even. It sure isn't. All I wanted was a good government conspiracy. But I won't spoil the ending in case you actually did want to see it. I also got my first three signatures on my back pack. Hoorah.
Yesterday was a bore.
Today Sunday school was awesome. It was Leila's lesson, so I go to relax. So in opening, the leader asked us, What is the last book of the Bible? And a little boy behind us yelled, INDEX! It was great. Then in class, one of the boys was looking for a sticker, and one of the girls goes it's on your kneee. He said what? She: it's on your knee. Your knee. Two other girls join in. Knee Knee Knee KNEE! And All I could think was: We demand a shrubbery? Leila was thining along the Monty Python track too. That made my day. Then tonight we had Breathe. Pratice was exceptionally stressfull, We just got a new computer in the tech room, and were switching to it, and none of the stuff was loaded right, and some of it wasn't working, and to make it more stressful, we only had a one hour practice scheduled, and four new songs. But somehow, as always we pulled it off.
And now we're up to speed. And I almost forgot to mention, Steve Cours is now my favorite politician, simply because of this quote on Meet the Press today. "I think now we mainly need to be worried about Iran and North Dakota, err North Korea." He's a real person! Hoorah!
