Another day, another politcal debate. Ugh, I'm so so so sick of politics. Let's just have the election and stop talking about it! In social today, we talked about what Bush and Kerry think about some of the bigger issues, gay marriage the war etc. Mr.S wanted us to decide which side we'd be on, and I tied, because I sided with Kerry on gay marriage, and education, and with Bush on the war, and abortion, and couldn't decide on the death penalty. I think for the purpose of the assignemtn I might side with Kerry, so I can have a good group. Then we watched a video on what it means to be a liberal or conservative. And it confirmed what Leila and I concluded a dew months ago, I'm a liberal Republican. And I concluded that liberals tend to take a pro-actice approach to problems, while conservatives are more reactive. I was talking to my mom about this, and she asked me what I sided with Kerry, on (my parents are very conservative republicans) and I told her, and she then proceded to tell me why I was wrong. So much for free speech. Oh, and then I wasn't listening attentively enough, so she got pissed, and walked off in a huff. Can you say hormones?
In other news, yesterday was the fall student council summit, I had written a post regarding that, but my blog appears to have gottne hungry, and eaten it. What can oyu do? Basically the summit was an overdose of politics, but I did get to have lunch with Vabner, it was good to talk to him. The bus ride was rough though, we discussed politics some more, and eugh, it was way too much, and every one was just cruel to one another. It probably would have been alot of fun, except I don't have friends in student council. They encouraged me ot run so they didn't have to. But, I can cope.
Back to the homework. Damn the wheat.

"Be there in a few."

I think politics is like Chinese water torture... everyday, a little more, until we go crazy. (If you think Crapsville is political, wait until you get to college!)

I admire you, Mandar, for standing up for what you believe in. It's really easy to just fall 100% into a party and loose your personal beliefs in line with what the party says. *glances as College Democrats button* I'm sorry that your Mom wasn't able to have a discussion with you without, well, actually discussing. I'm kinda hoping that this all boils over eventually, but I'm pretty sure that regardless of who wins the election, there's going to be a giant uproar... unless one of them gets smoked, but that's not going to happen, so...

This is a really long comment, I've just realized. It's 1AM, and my roommate is sleeping and I'm typing in the dark. I hope she doesn't mind. :-) I lurve you, Mandar!

Hi Amanda, I like your Blog about your discussion in school on politics. But thought it would be nice if you corrected your typos. (assignemtn=assignment, pro-actice=proactive, gottne=gotten, oyu=you, and eugh=? ugh? eeyew?, alot= a lot, ot=to)

Oh, yeah, and I disagree about who is reactive and who is proactive. I think the Dems are reactive, they take everything personal and expect the government to be their source of provision instead of God being so. Also, being young you find the political debate tiresome, but when you realize that the decency of people in our country and ultimately God's blessing or lack thereof, depends on having Godly leadership, you suddenly become acutely interested in it.

Thank you for commenting Ragtime, but if I were to fix all my typos I'd never get anything else done. Eugh and Ugh are simply grunts of disgust/frusteration, and the onther ones, I can never type right, I'm slightly dyslexic.
And I also realize that for our government to properly govern us, we do need God's leadership. But I don't know if Kerry or Bush is right for that. I have yet to see a politician exibit truely Godly behavior, no matter who it is, it seems that they always have to rip down the other cadidate. And that's all I have to say about that.

PS: Let the Queen of her Blog determine whether she wants to be Anal about her typos or not! You wouldn't like it if I complained about your blog content, would you?
